Storyline:-
- The film is a “killer comedy” and a whodunit set aboard a luxury cruise ship. A wealthy billionaire mysteriously dies, and three men claim to be his son and heir, “Jolly.” What starts as hilarious mayhem soon spirals into a murder mystery as the search for the real killer drives the plot.

Rating & Review (Pre-release):
- Trailer Reception: The trailer has received mixed reactions. While many have found it entertaining, full of slapstick humor, and a good blend of chaos and comedy, some have criticized it for “boring comedy” and “cringe performances,” with one film critic even giving it 1 out of 5 stars (Umair Sandhu).
- Buzz: Despite mixed trailer reactions, the buzz for “Housefull 5” is strong, partly due to the franchise’s popularity, the huge star cast, and the unique concept of multiple endings. Trade analysts are optimistic about its commercial prospects.
- Official reviews will be available after its release on June 6, 2025.
Collection Prediction:
- Advance Bookings: The film has generated impressive advance bookings, with reports stating collections of ₹3.88 crore (including block bookings) for day 1 as of June 2, 2025. This indicates strong fan loyalty and a potential for a big opening.
- Opening Day Prediction: Industry experts predict an opening day collection of around Rs 20-30 crores.
- Opening Weekend Prediction: A healthy opening weekend of around Rs 100 crores is anticipated if the content resonates with the audience.
- Lifetime Box Office Prediction: If the content receives a positive or even decent response, the lifetime box office collections could range from Rs 200-250 crores. However, with a high budget, the film would need to gross at least Rs 500 crores to be considered a commercial success. Some reports even suggest it needs to earn around Rs 750 crores to be declared a “hit” based on Koimoi’s parameters (earning double its investment).
- The high budget and high expectations mean a thin margin for error, and the film’s success will ultimately depend on audience word-of-mouth.
